My Story

I am running the Rwanda Impact Marathon in support of:

• Chance for Childhood,
• Health Poverty Action,
• Rwanda Wildlife Conservation Association,
• Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund.

In May 2025, I will be travelling to Rwanda to not only run a brand new marathon, but also visit and support these important projects.

Unlike typical races, this event combines the simple joy of running with the opportunity to support a truly meaningful cause. Every step I take will directly contribute to improving the lives of children in Rwanda, and the conservation of wildlife.

Chance for Childhood support children and young people in Africa who face inequalities such as lack of access to education and safe spaces, providing them with the tools and skills they need to build their own futures. They focus on:

• Children with disabilities,
• Children who live and/or work on the streets,
• Children who are imprisoned,
• Children affected by conflict.

HPA focus on enhancing women’s economic opportunities and supporting survivors of gender-based violence.

RWCA are celebrating 10 years of conservation, and are on a mission to save Rwanda’s critically endangered Grey Crowned Crane and the other wildlife in the country as they work on restoring habitats, and work on transformative community projects that are driving lasting change.
